5 Tips to Remember for Hiring a Band
Posted on 09. Apr, 2011 by admin in Leasing
Many hostesses have no idea where to begin in hiring a band. Many people have no experience choosing a band for events such as birthday parties, graduation parties, and weddings. There are five easy tips, however, that can lead any inexperienced hostess to choosing the right band.
1. Consider Music Type
First, consider the type of music you want at your event. Choosing a style of music such as jazz is a great idea, since this does not isolate groups of guests, unlike pop music or oldies music.
2. Length of Performance
Any host should ask about the “sets” that bands play. A host should clearly understand how many sets a band will play for an event.
3. Consider Dress Code
A host should also be clear about a dress code for an event, especially if it is a formal event, such as a wedding.
4. References
Getting references from a band is a great idea, simply to make sure others have had positive experiences with the band.
5. Establish Pay Rate
Before hiring a band, a host should establish a clear pay rate with a band.
These tips will make hiring a band a very smooth process, so a host should be sure to use them!
