As far as both sites are relevant to each other and have similar topics then reciprocal links will bring good amount of traffic and in return will increase the page rank of the site. So it is very important to have a good content in your website. Not only that but you need to update your site everyday with fresh contents.
Exchange of links will not only bring the traffic but also will help to get publicity. Before exchanging links there are some points which should be taken into consideration
- Make sure the site with which you are exchanging the links is relevant to your website that means the content of both the websites should be similar.
- It is very important that you exchange links with those sites which are top most, quality of the site is more important than the quantity.
- You should check regularly whether your links are being accepted and put up on the site.
- Make sure your links are reciprocated properly, when you place the link in your site your link also should be placed in another website at proper place.
- Make sure the website with which you are reciprocating is properly indexed in Google.
